Now on to the great linky party by Cynthia at 2nd Grade Pad! Her idea was to choose her favorite freebie product, explain the story behind it, and how to use it! So, I decided to share one of my newest freebies: the Free Math and Word Wall Routine Charts.

Why is it my favorite? I love that students can use these to get into a routine of examining numbers and words. It helps create critical thinkers. Also, the clipart kids on them are just too stinkin cute! :)

The story behind it: Well, I have been brainstorming items that I needed in the classroom but never had time to sit down and create! Now that I teach my girls at home, I have some time to make these cute items that I have always WANTED to make. While working on calendar sets, I thought of how I loved for my morning routine walls to match and be visually cohesive. So, I began working to create morning routine activities that would correlate with the calendar set!

How to use it: These charts could be laminated and placed on the morning meeting wall. They could also be laminated and given to each child to work along with the teacher. They would then become reusable each day!

The Word of the Day has five sections: a box to write the word, a box to write which word family it belongs to, a box to draw a picture of the word, a box to write a word it rhymes with, and a box to write or draw something it reminds them of.

The Number of the Day form has five sections as well: a box to write the number, a box to break the number up into hundreds/tens/ones, a box to solve 1 more/1 less/10 more/10 less, a box to make tally marks, and a box to show the number in coins! Here is a peek at the pack!
